Vietnamese culture in the spotlight for our activity of the month of November!
This Sunday 10th of November, we went to the exhibition "Tòhe · vo · lu tion" in the Vicas Art studio Hanoi. Organized by "Current Media" student club of RMIT Univeristy, this exhibition was about a typical and traditional Vietnamese children's toy called Tò he.
Made from coloured rice powder, it can be used to make any kind of figurines! Animals, traditional figures or cartoon characters... creativity has no limit with the Tò he!
This exhibition allowed our children to discover the history of the toy and its manufacture, to contemplate figurines perfectly executed by specialized artists and even to make their own figurines to take home!
