1, 2, 3, 4 ... 5 new members at SOTB!

July 23, 2019

After an amazing year of working alongside our international coordinators Théo and Quentin, they give way to a brand new team. We thank them for their unwavering commitment and investment in all SOTB projects. It was a real pleasure to work together but it is time to say goodbye ... and to introduce our 5 new members, more motivated than ever!

First, we would like to introduce Thuy, our new social worker

Full time at the association's office, Thuy leads and takes charge of the social mission of the NGO. She monitors SOTB children and their families. Building trustworthy relationships with families, she is the one who is best able to understand and help them. Her role is therefore crucial since sheembodies the link between SOTB members, families, children and various Vietnamese institutions (schools, partners, etc.).

"I am very happy to be working with SOTB and the children of the program! My job is my passion. Outside of work, I like to travel, discover all the cities of Vietnam and I love Korea. "

Then, here are Amelie and Lucie, our new international coordinators in civic service for 12 months!

Amélie is 23 years old and has for mission the global management of the association and its functioning ... Amélie is our project manager! She decided to take a gap year during her Master's degree in International Law and to carry out her civic service with us.

"I come from the South of France and I'm a huge fan of the sun. I like martial arts, music and discover new cultures. Great coffee enthusiast, I can drink up to 10 liters in the same morning! I am honored to be a part of SOTB and to be able to help children."

Working in tandem with Amélie, there is Lucie, 22 years old and working in Public Relations. In charge of our communication, she will also organize events throughout the year, bringing together the School on the Boat community and raise funds, to develop activities for the children of our program and ensure the smooth running of our activity...

"Originally from Touraine, I like good wines and gastronomy. Thanks to my studies, I was able to visit many cities in France but my desire to discover the world was stronger! I am very happy to use my communication skills for SOTB. "

And finally, here are our two new local coordinators: Linh and Phong!

Both are responsible for supporting the social worker on a daily basis while participating in the overall life of the association: the organization of events, monthly activities etc.

Linh's specific mission is to plan the SOTB tutoring program. Every week, she makes a schedule to assign the children of the program to a tutor. She also deals with the recruitment of tutors, and the follow-up of the tutoring session, making sure everything goes smoothly.

"I have been part of the SOTB adventure for 5 months already as a tutor and I am delighted to currently be local coordinator alongside Thuy and Phong! "

Phong is the assistant of Thuy, our social worker. He helps her carrying out her mission on a daily basis and helps to create and maintain the link between SOTB and families.

"I'm 18 and I study communication. My passions are traveling and writing. "

Let's wish good luck to this new team whose motivation is well proven!
